Hello

I’m Rebecca, founder of Rebecca Byrne Bloom, a space where calm meets connection on your journey into parenthood. I'm a certified Hypnobirthing Instructor and a Mindful Breastfeeding Practitioner. But most importantly, I’m a mum to two amazing boys, and it was my own journey into motherhood that inspired this work.

My Story

When I was pregnant with my first son, Oscar, I knew I wanted to try hypnobirthing. But, I was in two minds about it. On one hand, I thought it all sounded a bit alternative. I wasn’t sure I could get on board with the idea of “breathing a baby out.” On the other, I knew learning more about birth and how to prepare for it could only be a good thing.

So, my husband and I signed up to a fairly top-line hypnobirthing course and to our surprise, we found it fascinating. In the lead-up to birth, I practised the breathing techniques, we worked out our roles, and we felt prepared.

Oscar’s birth was super speedy; he arrived within three hours of me waking up. While some things didn’t go as we’d hoped (as birth often goes), I felt positive about the experience, and I knew the hypnobirthing tools had helped both me and my husband in various moments throughout the birth.

But it wasn’t until I was preparing for the birth of my second son, Archie, that I started to reflect more deeply. I realised that if I could do Oscar’s birth again, there were things I might approach differently. The hypnobirthing course had been very useful, but perhaps it could have helped even more. I’d listened, I’d found it all fascinating… but I hadn’t fully understood it on a deeper level. So, I decided to dive in properly. I learned the true physiology of birth and what actually happens with the birthing muscles. I explored the nervous system and how to stay in a calm, parasympathetic state. I built up a toolkit of techniques I could draw on at any moment. I educated myself in more detail about birth interventions so I could make informed, confident decisions.

It worked. Archie’s birth was incredible - calm, connected, and, crazily, I pretty much did breathe him out.

I breastfed both of my boys and absolutely loved it; the bond, the closeness, the simplicity (eventually!), and the health benefits. But it wasn’t as straightforward as I expected. People say breastfeeding is the most natural thing in the world, and it is, but that doesn’t mean it’s always easy.

I struggled in the early days both times. Even the second time, when I thought I’d know exactly what to do, I still needed help. I reached out to a Lactation Consultant, and with a few tweaks, some gentle encouragement, and a bit of perseverance, it all clicked. From then on, I fed with confidence, mostly breastfeeding, but also expressing and bottle-feeding occasionally, which gave us some helpful flexibility.

After my maternity leave with Archie, I returned to my Sales & Marketing job in London but something had shifted. That career path no longer felt right. I wanted to do something meaningful, something I felt deeply passionate about and something rooted in my own experience.

So, I trained as a Hypnobirthing Instructor with The Little Birth Company, and as a Mindful Breastfeeding Practitioner with The Mindful Breastfeeding School. And from there, Rebecca Byrne Bloom was born.

Now I want to share everything I’ve learned to help you approach birth and feeding with calm, confidence, and clarity. I’m here to support you in finding your inner strength through gentle, empowering approaches, so you feel prepared, centred, and deeply connected to both your body and your baby. Whether you’re navigating pregnancy for the first time or seeking a more different or more mindful experience the second time around, I’m here to walk alongside you — without judgment, and always with care.

My journey has inspired me. I want to inspire you so you can bloom.
